My trip to Thailand gave me a lot of new chef friends and a refreshing way to look at cooking with vegtables and use of strange produce? Here is a classic easy one for you to make enjoy!
thai grilled beef salad
ingredients
8 ounces filet mignon or boneless sirloin steak
4 cups mixed salad greens
1/2 cup packed torn basil leaves and coriander
3 green onions, thinly sliced
1 small cucumber, unpeeled, thinly sliced
1 mango, peeled, cut into match sticks
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon Nam Pla fish sauce
1 teaspoon brown sugar
directions

Grill or broil steak 4 inches from heat source about 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Set aside to cool.

In large bowl, combine greens, basil ,coriander, green onions, cucumber and mango.

In small bowl, mix lime juice, oil, fish sauce and sugar
. Add hot red pepper sauce to taste (if desired). Reserve 1 tablespoon dressing; toss remainder over greens mixture. Place greens on a platter.
4.
Thinly slice beef, reserving juices. Arrange slices over greens. Whisk beef juices into reserved dressing and drizzle over beef.
